Since the inception in 2002, the Institute is running as 4 years regular B.Tech course in Mechanical Engineering. A Mechanical Engineer has to design develop. Operate and maintain the equipments in an industry, be it any production unit viz an automobile manufacturing unit, a power or steel plant, hardware or software companies and even the defence, nuclear / space establishment etc. The department is unique in having the most spacious workshop building and full fledged Mechanical Engineering laboratories. Experienced and dedicated faculty members focus on imparting quality education, through well planned lecturers, tutorials, and the practical session, to give opportunity to prepare for a fulfilling career to the aspiring students that starts from the moment he/she enters the institution and continues throughout the degree programme.
The department has set up its own CAD/CAM (Computer aided design/management) laboratory, which is equipped with the latest generation computer systems, and gearing up to offer specialization in the field of thermal Science, Fluid Engineering, Automobile Engg. and Cad/Cam etc.
The future of Mechanical Engineer is most suited is processing industries, power plants, automobiles and other public and private sector units such as BARK, ISRO, IOCL, BHEL, Hal, NFL, IFFCO, RELIANCE and Defence and R & D establishment. |
